FAQ

What happens if the Zombie touches me?
Don’t get touched by the crawling Zombie! If you get touched by the crawling zombie, you will be required to sit and no longer will be permitted to search for clues, but you can still participate verbally. The Zombie is chained to a wall and may not roam freely, but the chain is released another foot every five minutes so you better be quick at putting together the clues, solving the riddles and finding the key that will set you free, otherwise you will be Zombie bait.

Do I need to run from the Zombie?
While your adrenaline will be pumping and we want you to have an unforgettable, life-or-zombie experience, we ask that you remember that your safety is of vital importance to us. If you run away from the zombie as fast as humanly possible, you may trip or knock over some of your fellow group members. Remember to keep yourself safe from the zombie… and yourself.

Is the door really locked?
Your team fully will be immersed in the moment! You may forget that you paid to be “Trapped In A Room With A Zombie”. Have no worries though, as the door is never actually locked and you can leave at any time.

How many participants are in the session?
The script is written to allow up to 12 people in a session at once. You may be in a session with other people you do not know. The entire group is on the same team working together to escape and not get eaten.

How long will it take?
This depends on how much smarter you are than a Zombie! If you do not find all the clues and solve the puzzles that unlock the door within 60 minutes, you will be eaten by a Zombie and we will have to remove your body from the room. Allow one and half hours for the entire session for instruction time, a solution explanation and an analysis of your team building traits.

Will I really get eaten if I don’t escape?
Cannibalism has been outlawed since 1804, so the Zombie is not legally permitted to eat you.

What should I bring with me?
Your inner Sherlock Holmes and all the sleuthing skills you can muster! The answers to the clues, riddles and puzzles are all in the room. You will be using your ability to look for clues, figure out logic, communicate with the other performers and apply deductive reasoning to escape. Don’t give up! Keep searching for clues. You are going to have to work fast!

Are cell phones permitted?
Cell phones are not allowed to be used in the room. The use of electronic devices or any outside tools are strictly prohibited and you will immediately be removed from the show if you attempt to use them.

What happens if I arrive late?
The door to the room closes exactly at the time you signed up for. Please arrive 15 – 20 minutes early to make sure you are there before the room is locked. You will not be permitted into the room if you are late. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

How old do you have to be?
We do not recommend this show for children under the age of 8. Appetizers…er, guests ages 8-14 must be accompanied by a paying adult in the room (1 adult : 6 kids). Anyone under the age of 18 must print out and bring a liability release waiver signed by their parent/legal guardian. CLICK HERE for the waiver. A minimum of two adults must accompany and stay on site with groups of children (including birthday parties) under the age of 18. Infants and toddlers will not be allowed in the room; zombies do not like baby food.

What if I am pregnant?
We do not recommend this show for women who are pregnant. Our number one priority is safety and we want pregnant guests to understand they assume the following risks if they choose to participate in our show: potential to experience increased feelings of physiological and/or emotional stress, increased adrenaline, and being jostled by other guests (in rare but extreme cases, running into furniture corners, tripping, stumbling, or falling may occur). Space is limited and there are few to no good spots to sit during the hour-long show. We recommend consulting your physician prior to participation.

What if I am epileptic?
There are no strobe/flashing lights used in the show; however there is a buzzer (similar to a school bell) that rings every 5 minutes and other loud noises that occur over the course of the adrenaline-packed, hour-long show.

Can I schedule a private show for just our group?

Please contact us if there are no session times available with 12 tickets and we will create a special session time for you. Please feel free to call either Kevin @202-538-7963 or Daryl @ 301-672-8007. TIPS TO ESCAPE

#1. DON’T JUST SIT THERE! There are clues scattered throughout the room. Move, touch, pull, turn, twist and open as many things as you can to find clues.

#2. SHARE YOUR FINDINGS. The only way to solve the puzzles and escape is to put all of the clues together. A safe may take two or three clues to open. Gather your clues in one spot and work as a collaborative unit with the other adventurers to come up with solutions.

#3. LET SOMEONE ELSE TRY. If a participant thinks that they have the correct answer and a clue will not open…..THEY HAVE THE WRONG ANSWER OR THEY DIDN’T PUT IN THE ANSWER CORRECTLY! Have someone else try it. The riddles are obvious to some people and appear impossible to others. Have everyone give the riddle a shot. This will be one of your best tips to escape!

#4. STAY AWAY FROM THE ZOMBIE. The Zombie is hungry and wants to eat you. Even though the zombie is chained to a wall, don’t get too close. If the Zombie touches you, you will have to sit and no longer will be permitted to search for clues, but you can still participate verbally.

#5. DON’T GIVE UP! The participants that don’t escape and “Get Eaten” stop looking for clues, stop trying different combinations and believe they can’t figure it out. Keep having different participants try the solve the clues, keep looking at the riddle and keep trying any possible combination. The worst thing you can do is “NOTHING”. Keep moving, keep looking, keep trying and never give up!

* PLEASE arrive 15 -20 minutes before your scheduled session time. Late arrivals will not be permitted into the team building session. There are no refunds nor credits to future sessions.
